For more than 20 years, hospitals, medical care centers, renowned wholesalers and retail companies have been supplied with both Body Products brands and customers’ own brands.

The digitalization of the medical industry is advancing rapidly. The market, as well as new legal requirements such as the Medical Device Regulation 2017/745 (MDR) require up-to-date, validated product information in high quality. This means for Body Products:

• The provision of data on platforms such as the HCDP or the EUDAMED database
• The mapping of the validation rules COVIN (Content Validation Network)
• Provisioning formats such as BMEcat or individual Excel templates, whose creation without systemic support causes a high manual effort

With entitys, an application was implemented in which data is centrally created, maintained and refined. Entitys is closely coupled with the ERP to enable a smooth and automatic exchange of data. In the project was:

• Entitys integrated into the system landscape with automated interfaces
• Implemented the ECLASS data model and pre-classified all items from entitys.io Master Data Specialists all items according to ECLASS 12.0
• Set up the automated creation of the import file for the HCDP
• Ensured the compliance with the COVIN rules and regulations
