The existing master data was brought up to the required quality. The result was a new classification structure, harmonized short and long texts, article master data that can be evaluated according to technical characteristics, and templates for describing spare parts. The new creation process is carried out via entitys – a SaaS MDM system – which is linked to SAP. In the system, applicants are guided through the creation process. Class suggestions, plausibility checks and value lists are directly available. A full-text search, as used in major search engines, is available to every Vallourec employee. In addition, the article master can be filtered according to technical characteristics. With the data hub, external partners are also granted access to the article master. Compliance and security are guaranteed by a role concept.
